Mary Burke

 

My background is in physiotherapy with experience in general and psychiatric hospital settings, community and primary care, children’s hospice care and long term residential settings. I commenced training in Counselling and Psychotherapy in 2014 and practiced as a counsellor in Living Life Centre in Bray from February 2016 to August 2021 working with adults and adolescents with a range of issues. 

I draw on a range of theories and interventions to provide therapy that is tailored to meet your needs.  We will work together to identify what you need to meet your individual goals and make any desired changes in your life.  I work in a manner that is trauma-informed and evidence based to provide a safe and confidential space to explore the issues that have led you to seek help.  I adhere to the code of ethics of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

   

Qualifications: MA Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy, BA Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, MA Health Informatics, BSc Health and Social Care, Diploma in Physiotherapy.  Diploma in Integrative Adolescent Psychotherapy, Diploma in Trauma Informed Practice, Certificates in Sexual Violence and Abuse, Addiction Studies, REBT, Choice Theory/Reality Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness and Compassion Focused Therapy. .
